How it Works
Wearing only a head-mounted display (HMD), clients are immersed in 3D stereoscopic virtual worlds and free to walk and explore naturally. A dedicated tracking system synchronizes movement in the real world with movement in the virtual world. Thus, users can walk freely and interact with the virtual world. Vizard VR Software Toolkit provides the platform for creating interactive visualizations. Through a simple workflow, architects can convert 3D models into full-scale immersive simulations.

3D Rendering, Vizard VR Software Toolkit: Instantly transform architectural designs into interactive virtual worlds with Vizard. Vizard comes loaded with plug-ins for all consumer available VR hardware peripherals to enhance your experience. |

Head-Mounted Display, nVisor SX: The nVisor SX presents a crisp stereo image of 1280x1024 pixels per eye and a field-of-view of 60 degrees. Other head-mounted displays, with varying technical specifications are available. |

Rendering Computer: Graphics rendering computers, customized to support your 3D rendering needs, are available from WorldViz. |

3D Architecture Model: While we favor 3D model creation in 3DS Max, any program that exports in .osg format is acceptable. WorldViz can help you create real-time ready architecture models or convert existing 3D content into a Vizard compatible file format. |

- Vizard software loads models in Open Scene Graph (.ive and .osg) file format.
- WorldViz recommends using Autodesk's 3D Studio Max Software to convert model designs into Open Scene Graph format

- Real-time rendering requires attention to polygon count, texture memory usage, and lighting needs. Depending on user's available hardware, WorldViz can recommend asset guidelines for ensuring real-time capabilities.
- A 3D artist trained in 3D Studio Max can readily apply WorldViz guidelines for optimizing models for use in walk-through applications.
- WorldViz experts can be contracted to convert content or provide support for 3D artists.
