Notes
(*) For a marker to be tracked, it must be visible by two or more cameras. Overall tracking space dimensions are determined by the camera range, camera layout, and background lighting

PPT X8 (8 Sensors)
The eight sensor system includes eight optical sensors, a PPT processor computer with control software, cable connections, and eight infrared targets. The advantages over the four sensor system are 1) tracks eight targets at a time, 2) maximum coverage of tracking workspace (practically no ‘dead’ tracking zones), 3) optimal elimination of line-of-sight occlusion, 4) optimal robustness and precision.

PPT X4 (4 sensor system)
The four sensor system includes four optical sensors, the PPT X4 processing unit, the easy-to-use PPT motion capture software, cable connections, and two infrared targets. The advantages over the two sensor system are 1) fuller coverage of tracking workspace (no ‘dead’ tracking zones), 2) elimination of line-of-sight occlusion, and 3)  increased robustness and precision.

PPT X2 (2 sensor system)
When economic considerations are foremost, the 2 sensors PPT includes two optical sensors, the PPT X2 processing unit, the easy-to-use PPT motion capture software, cable connections, and two infrared targets.

Ease of Use
The intuitive graphical user interface includes a wizard for instant calibration using a digital calibration board. PPT directly connects to the WorldViz Vizard VR toolkit. Dll for Windows, and C source library for Linux included. Simple streaming or polling via RS-232 serial port 115.2kbs interface.

Position & Orientation Tracking
Are you looking for a 6DOF integrated position & orientation real-time tracking solution? WorldViz recommends combining PPT with an inertial orientation technology such as the InertiaCube²™ by InterSense. This hybrid system has proven itself as one of the most powerful and highly reliable full tracking solutions currently available.

Calibration
Takes 3 minutes. All systems come with an automatic calibration rig (shown below) that automatically calibrates the entire system - all three axes.
