On September 17, Glendale Community College will celebrate the grand opening of a WorldViz VR Classroom that brings headset-based learning and Projection VR together in one shared, class-wide experience.
Glendale Community College’s new WorldViz VR Classroom combines individual VR workstations with a 60-foot immersive PRISM environment.
The new classroom gives instructors one flexible environment for teaching, exploration, and creation. Twenty-four students and one instructor can enter the same multi-user VR lesson, collaborate in real time, and learn by doing. With SightLab Multi User and E-Learning Lab, faculty can create and lead immersive lessons without writing code, making advanced VR more accessible across the curriculum.
A 60-foot wrap-around PRISM environment extends the experience beyond the headset. Teachers can bring immersive worlds into view for the whole room, guide discussion, and let learners explore through touch interaction. The result is a space that supports individual discovery, group collaboration, and instructor-led teaching in one connected classroom.

Built for digital media arts, computer science, career technical education, and other disciplines, the classroom gives Glendale Community College the flexibility to turn abstract concepts into shared experiences and invite students to become active participants in their learning.
